Phone-free schools movement
This advocacy initiative aims to empower parents, educators, and administrators pushing for bans on phones and smart devices during school hours. They offer administrator and parent toolkits as well as an ambassador program, which is allows access to an “advocate hub” providing resources like toolkits, templates, and access to their private online community. The site positions PFSM staff as ongoing support while you work with your school.
If your principal is ready, PFSM has a separate Administrator Toolkit with a model policy, rollout plan, enforcement/storage options, comms letters, and pushback scripts. PFSM also publishes news items and runs a research program with UNC that schools can join to measure impact.
